Author's Notes: We've got some exciting news to share. We're taking things to the next level and will be doing podcasts of the entire Available Darkness novel. So those who prefer their books in audio form will soon be able to hear it, for free. The chapters will be broken up a bit differently than on this site, more like proper book chapters than the weekly bite sized morsels we've been delivering.

The Bug - Thank you. And I look forward to these things, also.

Sarah - Thank you. There is definitely a lower end of the genre we hope to always avoid. One of the things I love most about Stephen King is how the characters are VERY normal. Despite the supernatural elements and extreme circumstances in which these people live, we aim for realism in how they react to the world around them.

I love the little details which put you inside the character's heads. Too many horror stories ignore proper character development, just having the characters jump through hoops. In Available Darkness, I actually feel for John and Abigail and what they are going through.

Ooh - I'm looking forward to hearing more about Harbinger - & finding out what Abigail thinks about all this when she wakes up...
