Well, this was another chapter that just carried me right along - I forgot I wasn't going to find out the end of the mystery today. Sigh. Actually, I really do enjoy having something to look forward to each Friday when I'm bored at work. I'll be very interested to read the book when it comes out!

Author's Notes: We decided to go with Jack, rather than Baldwin on all references to him in the book. While Baldwin made sense in the early going, this led to some confusion during one of the big reveals in a prior chapter. As we edit the book for print and podcasts (coming soon) we will be going back and changing all subsequent references to Baldwin as Jack.

There's a LOT of back story to this book as it is a mystery as much as it is horror or thriller or whatever other genre the story dips its toes into. One of the challenges of conveying the history, is to do it in a way that holds reader interest and lets you digest the information at the same time as some of the characters are learning of their pasts.

I hope that by the time the story is finished it reads as complex without being convoluted. Of course, your responses (in comments or via email) will help determine that.

as always, thank you for reading,
David Wright
